Touching 200mph on the run down to Stowe corner on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit is something that every aspiring F1 driver would like to experience - Matt Parry has now achieved that ambition courtesy of his McLaren Autosport BRDC Award prize drive.

The 20-year got behind the wheel of Jenson Button's Canadian Grand Prix-winning MP4-26 to complete a series of four-lap runs at the 'Home of British Motorsport', impressing both himself and the McLaren personnel present with the way he handled the step up in power over his regular Formula Renault machinery.

Admitting to being blown away by the speed, Parry also confessed that he would love to have another go - even if the rules of the competition deny him a return in twelve months' time.

Although Matt's F1 run was held behind closed doors because it coincided with the 2014 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award assessment, a brief video of his outing can be found HERE
