As one of the rising stars of British motorsport, Matt Parry was a natural target for the BBC's Sport Wales programme, despite the country's current prominence in more mainstream sports than motor racing.

Slotting in comfortably alongside the likes of Wales' successful 6 Nations rugby champions, cup and league winners in football, various boxers challenging - and winning - world titles and big names from the likes of swimming and golf, Matt featured heavily in the 12 April edition of weekly half-hour magazine programme, highlighting his rise through the ranks and his involvement with the Caterham F1 team, as well as his life away from the circuit.

The item combined footage from Matt's karting days with his latest exploits in the Formula Renault Northern European Cup, as well as getting the views of current team boss Richard Dutton and Caterham's Andrew Alsworth as the 18-year displayed his abilities in the F1 team's simulator at Leafield.
